Senior Buyer

Role Overview: As a Senior Buyer, your main responsibility is to execute the ordering, delivery, and contract management process for materials/equipment in compliance with established specifications, budget, and quality standards. You will be involved in identifying, selecting, negotiating, and managing vendors to ensure alignment with overall Money, Materials & Compliance guidelines and objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct day-to-day procurement activities following relevant policies, processes, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and control in procurement operations. - Stay updated on leading practices, market trends, and suppliers to contribute to continuous improvement of procurement systems and procedures. - Liaise with end users to review procurement plans and purchase requisitions, prepare internal cost estimates, evaluate offers, and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective deals. - Oversee the end-to-end award lifecycle of contracts, engage in strategic preparations, and coordinate with vendors for technical and commercial offers. - Identify, evaluate, and qualify vendors based on standards and objectives, float enquiries, ensure timely delivery, and negotiate terms to achieve business savings. - Guide Buyers on vendor identification, selection, negotiation, and management in compliance with established procedures and policies. - Conduct Reverse Auctions for procurement, maintain ARCs, and conduct closeout meetings with vendors to discuss performance feedback. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical / Electrical / Chemical / Civil / Instrumentation / Electronics) and MBA/Diploma in Materials Management. - Minimum 4 - 5 years of experience in category-based purchasing. Additional Company Details: The operating network includes internal departments such as P&C, AP Team, MM&C, FC&I, Asset Operations, Engineering, Project Team, Logistics & EXIM, Site Stores, Digital Platform, and Process Validation teams. External interactions involve Contractors, Consultants, BARC, and Vendors.
