Job Title: Power BI Senior Developer

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions to meet the analytical needs of our organization. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to understand requirements, creating data models, developing reports and dashboards, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. The Power BI Senior Developer will also provide technical guidance to junior developers and actively contribute to enhancing our analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand analytical needs.

Design and develop Power BI solutions, including data models, reports, and dashboards, to visualize data and provide insights.

Integrate data from different data sources

Proficient with PowerQuery and tuning queries

Proficient with DAX and improving the performance/tuning measures (and business logic)

Optimize performance and ensure scalability of Power BI solutions.

Implement data cleansing, transformation, and modeling techniques to prepare data for analysis.

Work closely with data engineers and database administrators to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI solutions.

Document processes, data models, and technical specifications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Power BI solutions into existing systems and processes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with at least [X] years of experience.

In-depth knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, M, and Power Query.

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and database design principles.

Experience with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, or other relational databases.

Proficiency in data visualization best practices and techniques.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience in mentoring and coaching junior developers.

Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI are a plus.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies is desirable.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
