Senior Billing & Estimation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and BOM (Bill of Materials) for interior, exhibition, experiential, and government projects.
• Conduct rate analysis, cost breakdowns, and value engineering comparisons for materials, finishes, fabrication, digital technology integrations, and project services.
• Carry out site measurements and verify quantities for billing and contractor payments.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents to estimate project costs accurately.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and vendors to validate quantities and rates.
• Monitor and track project variations, revised quantities, and updated billing statements.
• Prepare client billing, contractor billing, and reconciliation statements.
• Work on costing for tech-enabled installations (AV, lighting, interactive elements) used in experiential and museum environments.
• Ensure complete documentation for government projects including compliance with tender schedules, formats, and rate structures.
• Maintain updated cost databases and support procurement with rate negotiations.

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in billing, estimation, or QS roles within interiors, exhibitions, experiential spaces, construction, or government projects.

• Strong knowledge of BOQ/BOM preparation, rate analysis, quantity calculations, and material costing.

• Hands-on experience conducting site measurements and verifying billing quantities.
• Ability to read architectural, interior, structural, electrical, and services drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with pricing for fabrication, carpentry, civil work, metal work, electrical, lighting, AV/tech installations, and finishing materials.
• Experience working on large government tenders or public-sector projects is a strong advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and measurement/costing tools.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to coordinate across multi-disciplinary project teams.
