Zoca is a fast-growing local business marketing platform that helps salons, spas, and wellness businesses attract, convert, and retain more clients through AI-powered tools. Backed by real-time data and automation, we simplify growth for beauty professionals.

About The Role

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power our platform.

What You’ll Do

Architect, build, and scale backend systems that handle large data volumes and long-running workflows.
Design and maintain pipelines, integrations, and background processing systems.
Ensure system reliability, scalability, and observability.
Mentor engineers, lead reviews, and set engineering best practices.
Collaborate closely with product to deliver impactful solutions.

What We’re Looking For

4–6 years of backend engineering (Node.js/NestJS preferred, Python a plus).
Strong experience with data processing, distributed systems, and queues.
Ability to own architecture decisions and lead projects end-to-end.
Bonus: Prior experience in data-heavy SaaS products.
