Senior Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts following Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodology.

• 
  Execute automated test iterations and analyze test results.

• 
  Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure test coverage aligns with product design and business requirements.

• 
  Track, report, and verify defects; work with stakeholders to coordinate bug fixes.

• 
  Estimate testing efforts and coordinate tasks within cross-functional teams.

• 
  Participate in product design discussions to ensure adequate test coverage.

• 
  Support the development and extension of customized testing tools where required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 
  Strong development/scripting skills in Java.

• 
  Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, and TestNG.

• 
  Expertise in API testing and UI test automation using Java-based frameworks and Selenium WebDriver.

• 
  Familiarity with REST API testing using tools like Postman, REST Assured, etc.

• 
  Sound knowledge of testing methodologies including ATDD/BDD.

• 
  Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.

• 
  Basic experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo) and version control systems like Bitbucket.

• 
  Exposure to ETL testing (nice to have).

• 
  Ability to develop or extend testing tools tailored to application-specific needs.

• 
  Prior experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• 
  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
