Revenue Cycle Oversight : Monitor and manage the revenue cycle process, from patient registration and scheduling to claim submission, payment posting, and collections. Billing and Coding Support : Review and validate billing and coding accuracy to ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer requirements. Claims Management : Analyze and resolve claim rejections, denials, and appeals, working closely with the billing team to maximize reimbursement rates. Financial Analysis : Conduct regular analysis of revenue cycle metrics, identify trends, and implement process improvements to optimize financial performance. Performance Reporting : Prepare and present revenue cycle performance reports to management, highlighting key metrics, areas of improvement, and actionable recommendations. Compliance and Regulations : Stay updated with industry regulations, payer policies, and coding changes to ensure compliance and minimize financial risks. Staff Training and Development : Provide training and guidance to revenue cycle staff on best practices, policies, and procedures. Vendor Management : Collaborate with external vendors, such as clearinghouses and collection agencies, to optimize revenue cycle processes and resolve issues. Technology Utilization : Leverage revenue cycle management systems and technology tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance data accuracy. Collaboration : Foster strong cross - functional relationships with clinical teams, finance, IT, and other stakeholders to drive revenue cycle optimization initiatives. Qualifications and Skills : Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). At least 5 years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management within a healthcare organization. Strong understanding of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, including coding systems (e. g. , CPT, ICD - 10), billing regulations, and payer requirements. Proficiency in revenue cycle management systems and healthcare software applications (e. g. , electronic health records, billing systems). Excellent analytical and problem - solving skills, with the ability to interpret and analyze revenue cycle data. Knowledge of compliance and regulatory guidelines, such as HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross - functional teams. Leadership abilities and experience in training and mentoring staff. Detail - oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast - paced environment.
