We are currently looking for a Senior Android Engineer - Global Team in India.In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high-performance Android applications that deliver exceptional user experiences at scale. You will collaborate with product managers, backend engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust mobile solutions. Accountabilities
- Design, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications using Kotlin, Java, and modern Android frameworks
- Collaborate with product managers and backend engineers to define, design, and integrate APIs
- Take end-to-end ownership of features—from technical design and development to testing, release, and maintenance
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in performance, security, and maintainability
- Explore and integrate new Android technologies, contributing to architectural and design improvements
- Troubleshoot issues related to multithreading, memory management, networking, and data storage
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge to elevate team skill sets
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Android development with Kotlin and Java
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Android fundamentals, including Jetpack components, multithreading, networking, memory management, and data storage
- Experience with architectural patterns such as MVC, MVVM, or VIPER
- Proficiency in performance optimization, crash analysis, and power usage tuning
- Familiarity with Android libraries like Volley, Glide, Lottie, and Firebase (including FCM)
- Experience in code review, testing, and enforcing development best practices
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a global team environment
- Bonus: Experience with Google Play submissions, email protocols (SMTP/IMAP), Linux environments, backend services, or hybrid frameworks like Flutter or React Native
