About Us:

LawerIT is building India’s first legal quick service platform for filings, procedural runs, and court-related operations. We aim to solve the pain of lawyers, law firms, and clients who struggle with drafting compliance, filings, certified copies, scheduling, and document management. Backed by strong infra credits and a clear product vision, we are now looking for a Legal Ops Co-Founder to lead our on-ground execution in Kolkata.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a practising advocate with 3+ years of active courtroom experience at the Kolkata High Court and/or district courts, who can bridge legal operations with technology. This person will be responsible for building and scaling LawerIT’s procedural services network (filings, clerks, registry, notarisation, document retrieval), ensuring legal accuracy, and driving adoption among advocates and law firms.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage all on-ground court operations in Kolkata (filings, cause list tracking, certified copies, caveats, etc.).

Build and oversee a network of clerks, notaries, and procedural vendors.

Ensure compliance with court/judge-specific requirements for filings and formats.

Work closely with the tech team to translate procedural pain points into product features.

Handle client/lawyer onboarding in Kolkata, ensuring adoption and trust.

Represent LawerIT as a co-founder, with shared responsibility for growth and strategy.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of practising experience at the Kolkata High Court and/or district courts.

Strong understanding of filings, registry procedures, and procedural bottlenecks.

Entrepreneurial mindset – willingness to build from scratch and take risks.

Strong professional network within the Kolkata legal ecosystem.

Willingness to invest paid-up capital for equal equity split as Co-Founder.
