Job Description

Accounting & Financial Management

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate maintenance of books of accounts.
  • Prepare and finalize Trial Balance, Profit & Loss Account, and Balance Sheet for the Kolkata region.
  • Review and monitor site accounts, PRW (piece rate work) reconciliation, and financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial performance reports.
  • Ensure timely submission of all financial data and reports to Head Office.

Audit & Compliance

  • Manage and coordinate statutory, internal, HO, and site audits.
  • Ensure adherence to audit schedules, documentation, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with statutory auditors for Tax Audit, Cost Audit, and other audit-related matters.
  • Support Company Secretarial compliance and reporting as required.

Banking & Treasury Operations

  • Liaise with banks for new/renewal of credit facilities, documentation, and related formalities.
  • Monitor fund flow, site fund reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow and fund utilization statements.

Taxation & Regulatory

  • Handle direct and indirect tax matters including TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Assist in Income Tax assessments and coordinate with HO and tax consultants.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.

MIS & Reporting

  • Generate and analyze MIS reports through SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Provide management with timely insights on regional performance, liabilities, and debtors.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial and operational reporting for decision support.

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a liaison between regional offices, project sites, and corporate finance teams.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, banks, auditors, and internal teams.
  • Perform any special tasks or assignments as directed by management.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
  • Experience in statutory, internal, and site audits.
  • Excellent command over taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in SAP (FI/CO Module), Tally ERP, and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail, integrity, and time management ability.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification:

    CA / CMA / M.Com / MBA (Finance)
  • Experience:

    Minimum

    4-8 years

    of experience in accounting, finance, and audit functions, preferably in a multi-site or regional setup.
  • Industry Preference:

    Construction, Infrastructure, or Project-based industries.
