Job Description

Accounting & Financial Management

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
Monitor cash flow, working capital, and budget vs. actual performance.

Compliance & Statutory Requirements

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
Manage statutory filings such as GST/VAT, TDS/Withholding Tax, Income Tax, and other local compliances (as applicable).
Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Controls & Process Improvement

Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
Identify process gaps and drive improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of financial transactions.

Team Management

Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounts team.
Allocate work, review outputs, and ensure adherence to timelines.
Support team development through training and performance feedback.

Stakeholder Coordination

Work closely with operations, procurement, HR, and senior management on financial matters.
Provide financial data and analysis to support business decision-making.
