Roles and Responsibilities · Manage the full accounts function: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, prepayments and accruals. · Lead the month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing processes. Ensure all financial transactions are recorded timely and accurately. · Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensure correct classification of transactions, and resolve discrepancies. · Oversee preparation of financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements) and management reports. · Conduct variance analysis (actual vs budget / forecast), identify drivers of variances, propose corrective measures. · Manage cash flow monitoring and forecasts; optimize working capital (receivables, payables, inventory etc.). · Ensure compliance with statutory accounting standards (e.g. Ind AS / IFRS or local GAAP), tax regulations, regulatory requirements. Prepare inputs for tax filings. · Coordinate with internal and external auditors; ensure audit queries are addressed and audit schedules are met. · Develop, implement and maintain internal control systems & accounting policies / SOPs to reduce risks and improve efficiency. · Lead, mentor and supervise a team of account staff; set performance expectations; provide coaching, feedback and development. · Collaborate with other departments (sales, operations, procurement etc.) to ensure accounting support, understand business needs, budget issues, and cost control. · Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. Provide financial models, projections, and scenario analysis as needed. · Review and improve accounting systems, process flows, accounting tools to enhance accuracy, speed, and scalability. Skills & Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Finance · Strong practical accounting experience (typically 5‑10 years) with at least 2‑3 years at senior / supervisory level. ·Proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems; strong Excel skills. Familiarity with financial systems used in your industry. ·Deep understanding of accounting principles, standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP), tax laws, payroll, fixed assets, etc. ·Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret financial data, prepare meaningful reports and provide insights. ·Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines under pressure. ·Good leadership / team management skills. Ability to mentor, guide, and build a high‑performing accounting team. ·Effective communication skills (written & verbal); ability to coordinate between departments and with external parties (auditors, tax authorities). ·High integrity, ethical behavior, strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
