Job Purpose:

To manage day-to-day finance operations with a focus on statutory compliance related to GST, TDS, and other tax matters, ensuring timely reporting, accuracy, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Indirect Tax (GST):

• Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.).

• Reconciliation of GST input credit with GSTR-2B and books of accounts.

• Handling GST assessments, notices, and queries.

• Ensuring compliance with GST laws on invoicing, input credit, and place of supply rules.

2. Direct Tax (TDS):

• Calculation, deduction, and deposit of TDS across applicable sections.

• Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS returns.

• Issuance and reconciliation of TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).

• Handling TDS-related queries, notices, and compliance issues.

3. General Finance & Accounts:

• Assisting in monthly closing, reconciliations, and preparation of MIS reports.

• Ensuring timely vendor payments with proper deduction of statutory taxes.

• Supporting statutory and tax audits with required data.

• Maintaining proper records for tax compliance and documentation.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of GST laws, TDS provisions, and compliance.

• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting/ERP software (SAP, Tally, etc.).

• Analytical mindset with attention to detail.

• Ability to handle statutory notices and liaise with consultants/auditors.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Inter preferred.

• Experience: 3–6 years of relevant experience in GST, TDS, and finance operations.
