Senior Accountant

• We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will leverage your accounting expertise alongside your in-depth knowledge of stock trading, equity, and derivatives to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for our securities portfolio.

Responsibilities:

• Good working knowledge on GST and TDS
• Manage the accounting cycle for financial instruments, including stocks, bonds, options, and futures.
• Prepare journal entries to record investment transactions, including purchases, sales, dividends, interest payments, and margin activity.
• Reconcile brokerage statements and ensure the accuracy of investment valuations.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all investment activity for audit purposes.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting pronouncements and regulations related to financial instruments.
• Collaborate with the investment team to ensure proper accounting treatment of complex financial transactions.
• May participate in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures for financial instruments.
• Record and reconcile transactions related to stock trading, equity investments, and derivative instruments in accordance with accounting standards.
• Monitor changes in fair value and assess the impact on financial statements, including mark-to-market adjustments for trading securities and derivatives.
• Calculate and recognize investment income, dividends, interest, and other investment-related revenues and expenses.
