About the job

1. Accounting Support:

Follow client managers and partners directions with compilation of activity statements, financial statements, and tax returns including worksheets and schedules as required.

Assist in the preparation and examination of financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting principles.

Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry for accounts payable and receivable, invoice processing, and maintaining financial records.

Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash accounts.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.

2. Data Management and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and administrative records in the workpapers and other systems.

Organising and saving all relevant client documents in Suitefiles.

Skill Set Requirements:

1. Good understanding of accounting principles and taxation concepts

2. Strong command of Microsoft Excel and Word

3. Proficiency in spoken and written English

4. Knowledge or experience with Australian accounting/tax software (MYOB, Xero etc) is required.

5. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
