Senior Accountant

As a financial accountant at our company, your role will involve preparing monthly and yearly financial reports to assess the business's performance. You will need to ensure that all numbers are accurate and comply with accounting standards. Key Responsibilities: - Create monthly and yearly financial reports to evaluate the business's performance - Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting rules - Manage inventory records by monitoring levels and reconciling with system data - Handle inventory losses, write-offs, and cost calculations - Assist in budget planning with store and department managers - Analyze actual results against the budget and provide explanations for any variances - Review daily sales data and reconcile with accounting records - Track discounts, returns, and gift card usage - Prepare tax reports such as VAT or sales tax - Collaborate with auditors and tax consultants when necessary - Monitor company expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities - Supervise junior accountants and ensure adherence to proper procedures - Enhance accounting systems for improved efficiency and accuracy - Support software or system upgrades - Ensure compliance with company rules and legal requirements to prevent errors and fraud Qualifications Required: - 3 years of experience with GST - Location preference: Puri, Orissa In addition to competitive benefits such as a flexible schedule, leave encashment, paid sick time, paid time off, and provident fund, this full-time position offers the opportunity to work in person at our location.
