Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Account Executive located in Mumbai. The Senior Account Executive will be responsible for building and maintaing strong media relations, collaborating across internal teams and external stakeholders for crafting narratives aimed at executing crisis communication strategies, and actively handling strategic storytelling assignments.The candidate should be proactive in their brand management, crisis communications approach. The candidate must have an appetite to learn, execute, and confidently step up to lead when required—especially in crisis management and brand management strategies. The candidate should be comfortable translating complex business or financial info into compelling narratives.The applicant should be confident in engaging with journalists, editors, and senior stakeholders, should be organized, adaptable, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical skills and the ability to monitor sentiment/market insights will be a plus.The candidate should have the ability to smoothly and enthusiastically engage with journalists and editors to drive consistent, favourable media coverage. The individual should be capable of building relationships with stakeholders and influencing across senior leadership, investors, analysts, and media.

Key Responsibilities:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with top-tier English media across print, digital and TV.· Drive proactive and reactive media strategies to ensure consistent positive coverage for clients.· Write, edit, and distribute press releases, media advisories, and pitch notes.· Plan and execute press conferences, media roundtables, interviews, and briefings.· Monitor news coverage, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities.· Support crisis communication efforts when needed.· Collaborate with internal client servicing teams and external stakeholders to align messaging.· Maintain updated media lists and reports for client deliverables.

Qualifications

:· Bachelor’s degree or post graduation in Mass Communication, PR, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.· 2–5 years of experience in media relations, preferably at a PR agency or a reputed firm. Journalism background will be preferred· Strong network of media contacts in Mumbai and pan-India.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.· Proactive, driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.· Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
