Job Description

AC Technicians (Interior Fit-Out)1. Installation and System Modification

  • Unit Installation: Installing various types of air conditioning units required for the fit-out, including ducted split units, ducted/non-ducted Fan Coil Units (FCUs), Air Handling Units (AHUs), Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, and cassette/package units.
  • Refrigerant Piping: Fabricating, installing, brazing, and insulating copper refrigerant piping and copper or PEX chilled water piping, ensuring all connections are leak-free and pressure-tested.
  • Ductwork Installation: Installing, modifying, and balancing Galvanized Iron (GI) or Pre-Insulated (PI) ductwork and flexible ducts to match the new layout and ceiling design, coordinating closely with interior designers for aesthetic clearances.
  • Grilles and Diffusers: Precisely installing air supply and return grilles, diffusers, and linear slots according to the reflected ceiling plans (RCP) to ensure even air distribution and alignment with architectural finishes.

2. Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

  • Commissioning: Performing comprehensive pre-commissioning checks and final commissioning of all installed HVAC units and systems to verify they operate according to design specifications.
  • Air Balancing: Carrying out Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) procedures to ensure correct airflow rates (CFM) are delivered to each new zone and room as per the final design load.
  • Controls & Wiring: Installing and connecting control wiring, thermostats, sensors, and integrating components into the Building Management System (BMS) or independent control panels.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving electrical, mechanical, and refrigerant faults that arise during and after installation, often under pressure to meet handover deadlines.

3. Coordination and Documentation

  • Drawing Interpretation: Reading and interpreting detailed HVAC shop drawings, mechanical schematics, load calculations, and architectural reflected ceiling plans to execute work accurately.
  • Trade Coordination: Actively participating in MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) coordination meetings to ensure that HVAC ducting and piping do not clash with electrical conduits, lighting fixtures, or plumbing lines.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensuring all installations meet required safety standards, local building codes, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Documentation: Preparing and updating "As-Built" drawings to reflect any final changes made on-site and completing detailed test and commissioning reports.

Pay: Up to ₹40,000.00 per month
