Job Description

A Secretary General Sg acts as the chief administrator and diplomat for an organization, handling core duties like meeting organization agendas, minutes, records, communication internal external, and governance compliance, while also performing high level functions such as strategic leadership, conflict mediation using good offices, financial oversight, and implementing policies, with the specific scope varying from a national civil service department head to the Uns top official, balancing administrative rigor with political and diplomatic influence. 

Core Administrative and Governance Responsibilities.

  • Meeting Management.

     Scheduling, preparing agendas, taking and distributing minutes, and managing records archives.
  • Communication.

     Handling correspondence, managing databases, and acting as a central point for information flow.
  • Legal and Compliance.

     Ensuring adherence to governing documents, electoral procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Membership.

     Managing member records and related processes, especially in smaller bodies.
