We at Meclusions Studio are looking for Fresher to mid range Screenplay Writer for Animated Films & Projects to write Screenplay and Dialogues for our (and our client's) 2D/3D Animation, Feature Films & Youtube Series.

We are seeking a Screenplay Writer to craft a compelling, feature-length script for our animated films/Projects. This is a crucial, high-impact role for a writer who understands that in animation, the script is the first storyboard. You will be responsible for creating a narrative that is not only emotionally resonant but also visually driven and optimized for a lean, efficient production pipeline. We need a storyteller who can use words to paint a picture for our animators, making every action, expression, and comedic beat clear. Your ability to work with constraints and use AI tools to accelerate your workflow will be highly valued.

You will collaborate directly with the director to develop the story from a basic concept to a polished, final script. This role requires a unique blend of creative vision, technical precision, and a deep understanding of how animation works.

Responsibilities

• Develop the film's plot, characters, and dialogue from a high-level concept or outline.
• Write a full screenplay with an emphasis on detailed visual descriptions, action, and character expressions that are ready for the animation team to interpret.
• Create a script that is mindful of production limitations, avoiding overly complex crowd scenes or expensive effects where possible, and finding creative solutions within the budget.
• Collaborate with the director on story, pacing, and tone.
• Use AI writing tools to brainstorm ideas, refine dialogue, and improve narrative flow, while maintaining full creative ownership.

We are open for all India Remote Working, So you may be from any part of India You can still work with us on our Films, Web and Television based projects.

Using AI is also a quality that will be an addon feather to your resume and chances of selection increases by that.

Though If you are from Mumbai that will be a dded benefit because we can work directly with you and the direct Mumbai based access, will benefit both you and us in many folds, Mumbai based Script & Dialogue Writer will be given First Priority in short.

Do not worry if you are'nt from Mumbai, We'll consider you too, If you are from remote place you can work from the comfort of your own Home in your own City and State as a Freelancer with us. You will be the creative force - who will be converting our Animation or web based concepts to story and words these story and words will than be converted into real designs & animation by our vfx and animation Team, So come join us "CHAMP"

Nature of Work:

The work of a screenplay writer for an animated film is a highly collaborative and meticulous process.

• Visual Storytelling: Unlike live-action, where actors can convey emotions through subtle gestures, animated characters need explicit direction. You will be writing detailed descriptions of character movements, facial expressions, and even camera angles. For example, instead of "He looked sad," you might write, "His shoulders slumped, and a tear rolled slowly down his cheek, catching the moonlight."
• Blueprint for Production: Your script will serve as the primary guide for every department that follows. Storyboard artists, character designers, and animators will all be looking to your words for direction. The more specific you are, the more seamless the production process will be.
• Efficiency Mindset: You'll constantly be thinking about the return on investment of every scene. Does a crowd shot add enough value to justify the cost? Can a scene be told with a single, compelling shot instead of multiple angles? This pragmatic approach is key.
• AI-Augmented Creativity: You'll use AI tools as a brainstorming partner. Stuck on a dialogue scene? Ask an AI for ten different ways a character could react. Need a new twist for the second act? Use AI to generate a dozen plot ideas. It's a tool to get past creative blocks and accelerate the initial stages of writing.

Softwares:

• Celtx or Final Draft: These are the industry standard for screenwriting. Celtx is an excellent, cost-effective option as it has a free version with all the essential features.
• Google Docs: For collaborative notes, outlines, and beat sheets that the director and other team members can access and edit in real-time.
• AI Assistants: Platforms like ChatGPT, Google's Gemini, or Claude should be part of the writer's toolkit for brainstorming and generating creative ideas.

Office Location: Goregaon West - Mumbai

Work Experience: 0 to 12 Months ( We only want Freshers)

Skillset:

• Creative Writing: A mastery of plot, character development, dialogue, and pacing. You must be able to create a compelling, emotionally engaging narrative.
• Visual Thinking: The most important skill for an animated film writer. The ability to see the film in your head and translate that vision into vivid written descriptions.
• Screenwriting Fundamentals: A deep understanding of screenplay structure, formatting, and industry standards.
• Adaptability: The willingness to take feedback, collaborate with a team, and make significant revisions as the film develops.
• Technical Knowledge: An awareness of the animation pipeline and how your writing choices will impact later stages of production.
• AI Fluency: The ability to effectively use AI tools for brainstorming, research, and script refinement.

Salary: It will be decided as per your expertise and skillset
