School Accountant

SCHOOL EXPERIENCE ACCOUNTANT is only REQUIRED !

The School Accountant is responsible for managing all financial transactions of the school, maintaining accurate books of accounts, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The role requires integrity, attention to detail, and efficient handling of day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Management:
• Maintain books of accounts including cash, bank, fees, and petty cash transactions.
• Record all income and expenditure accurately and timely in accounting software (e.g., Tally).
• Fee Management:
• Manage student fee records, issue receipts, and reconcile collections with bank deposits.
• Coordinate with the administration for fee reminders, defaulters’ list, and concession records.
• Payments & Vouchers:
• Process vendor payments, staff salaries, reimbursements, and advances.
• Verify and maintain all supporting documents and vouchers for audit purposes.
• Banking & Compliance:
• Handle bank reconciliations and maintain records of NEFT, RTGS, and cheque transactions.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other statutory requirements as applicable.
• Budgeting & Reporting:
• Assist management in preparing annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Generate monthly and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and expense reports.
• Audit & Record Keeping:
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain proper filing and documentation of all financial records for reference and audit.
• Liaison & Coordination:
• Work closely with the school administration, HR, and management for smooth financial operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the integrity of all financial data.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
