SAP PPDS Consultant

• Design, configure, and implement SAP APO PP/DS or EPPDS solutions to support production planning and scheduling.
• Experience in:
  -PPDS global settings

-PPDS master data and relation to ECC data

-PPDS cycle and set up-specific to project and experience

-PPDS Integration with other application

-PPDS heuristics ; optimizer ; Product View -Set up .configuration; DS Planning Board-set up, configuration

-Subcontracting in PPDS ; Block Planning

-Embedded PPDS in S4Hana

• Collaborate with business users to gather and analyse requirements, providing recommendations for process improvements.
• Develop and maintain heuristics, optimization rules, and scheduling strategies in SAP PP/DS.
• Integrate SAP APO PP/DS with other SAP modules (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) and external systems.
• Conduct system testing, user training, and provide post-implementation support.
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement necessary fixes or enhancements.
• Document functional and technical specifications, ensuring compliance with best practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, manufacturing, and IT teams, to ensure seamless implementation.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP advancements and recommend improvements to existing solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling processes, and supply chain management.
• Hands-on experience in configuring heuristics, optimizer settings, and scheduling boards in PP/DS.
• Integrate EPPDS with SAP ECC or S/4HANA core modules using CIF (Core Interface).
• Expertise in production planning, finite/infinite scheduling, and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of master data (resources, PDS, production versions).
• Proficiency in debugging and analysing CIF (Core Interface) integration issues.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• SAP certification in APO PP/DS is a plus.
• Experience in working in an Agile or SAP Activate methodology is preferred.

Preferred Experience:

• Exposure to SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) as an evolution of APO.
• Experience in handling migration projects from SAP APO PP/DS to SAP S/4HANA PP/DS.
• Knowledge of advanced planning tools and algorithms.
