Sample Coordinator

As a Sample Coordinator in healthcare, you will be responsible for managing the logistical and administrative aspects of sample collection, processing, and tracking within a laboratory or research setting. Your primary focus will be on ensuring accurate sample handling, maintaining detailed records, and facilitating communication between different teams to support smooth laboratory operations and maintain the integrity of samples. Your key responsibilities will include receiving, logging, and tracking samples, ensuring proper labeling and storage for sample receipt and tracking. You will also be responsible for preparing samples for testing by aliquoting, labeling, and packaging them for transport under sample processing. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of sample information, including storage locations and test results, will be a crucial aspect of your role under record-keeping responsibilities. Additionally, you will monitor sample inventory, ensure adequate supplies, and communicate effectively with laboratory staff, researchers, and other stakeholders regarding sample status and any issues. Quality control procedures will be a key focus area where you will ensure that samples are handled according to established protocols. Compliance with laboratory safety regulations and other relevant guidelines will also fall under your responsibilities.
