As a Sales Manager at our client, a leading manufacturer of diesel & Gas generator sets in Kolkatta, your role will involve spearheading sales initiatives for Diesel Generator (DG) sets. You will be responsible for expanding market share, managing the complete sales lifecycle, and building a robust pipeline of new business. Your expertise in technical or project-based sales, proactive client engagement, and desire for long-term career growth will be key in driving the organization's growth to the next level. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets in domestic and international territories, driving the entire sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation, specializing in high-value project sales, identifying new business opportunities within key industries, building strong relationships with clients and partners, conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations, performing market analysis, collaborating with internal teams for project execution, representing the company at industry events, and preparing sales reports and forecasts for senior management. To excel in this role, you should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field with at least 5-7 years of proven B2B sales experience in industries such as Heavy Machinery/Equipment, Diesel Generator (DG) Sets, or Industrial Project Sales. Your ability to meet and exceed sales quotas, willingness to travel extensively, and proficiency in CRM software will be valuable assets. Fluency in a second language would be an advantage. Your technical acumen, consultative sales approach, relationship-building skills, negotiation abilities, self-motivation, and resilience in a target-driven environment will be essential in achieving success as a Sales Manager.
