Job Description

A hotel booking engine sales representative's mainly focuses on selling the hotel's booking engine and related services, driving revenue through digital channels, and building relationships with corporate clients and travel agencies. Key responsibilities include identifying and targeting new business, creating and executing sales strategies, managing client accounts, negotiating contracts, and analyzing sales data to achieve revenue goals. Qualifications typically include a hospitality or business degree, strong sales and negotiation skills, proficiency with CRM and sales software, and a deep understanding of the hotel market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development:
  • Proactively identify and target potential clients, such as corporate businesses and event planners, to secure new hotel bookings through the booking engine.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to maximize bookings and achieve revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing corporate clients and key accounts to foster repeat business.
  • Provide personalized service and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Sales and Negotiation:
  • Present the hotel's booking engine, facilities, and services to prospects, highlighting unique selling points.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, balancing their needs with the hotel's revenue objectives.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
  • Work with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and packages that drive bookings.
  • Prepare detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management.
  • Industry Engagement:
  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build brand visibility and generate leads.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education:A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is often preferred.
  • Experience:Proven experience in sales, ideally within the hospitality or travel industry, is crucial.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Familiarity with sales and booking systems, including hotel-specific software.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive.
  • Industry Knowledge:A thorough understanding of the hospitality market and competitive landscape.
