Job Summary:

Technical Sales Professional

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for API-certified valves in target markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, end users, consultants, and distributors.
  • Understand customer technical requirements and provide suitable valve solutions (gate, globe, check, ball valves, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders in line with customer and project specifications.
  • Negotiate terms and close sales while meeting company targets for revenue and profitability.
  • Coordinate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform business strategy.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer communications in CRM systems.
  • Support documentation and approvals for key accounts and API-related compliance as required by customers.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • MBA in Marketing/Sales is an added advantage.

Experience:

  • 3-8 years of experience in technical sales of

    industrial valves

  • Proven experience working with

    API-certified valves

    and familiarity with

    API 6D, API 600

    , and

    ASME B16.34

    standards.
  • Experience dealing with clients in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or water treatment sectors.

Skills:

  • Strong technical understanding of valve products, pressure ratings, and application engineering.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and report preparation.
  • Customer-focused with a solution-oriented approach.

Preferred:

  • Exposure to international markets or large project sales (domestic & export).
  • Existing client network in the valve industry or related sectors.
  • Knowledge of tendering process with PSUs, EPCs, and private sector clients.

Working Conditions:

  • Field and office-based sales role.
  • Travel required for client meetings, trade shows, and site visits.
