About the Role
As a Sales Officer, you are the link between strategic sales direction and on-ground execution. You will ensure your territory/portfolio achieves its sales targets, maintains a healthy distribution network, and delivers strong market presence. This role demands high ownership, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage both distributor partnerships and retail execution with precision.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver sales, volume, and distribution targets within the assigned territory.
- Identify, appoint, and manage distributors in line with company guidelines.
- Work closely with distributor/retailer teams to ensure product availability and visibility.
- Maintain strong retailer relationships to drive secondary sales.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Execute trade marketing and promotional campaigns in the territory.
- Ensure timely collections and adherence to credit policies.
- Track daily market coverage and ensure sales routes are optimised.
- Prepare and submit detailed sales reports and market feedback.
- Train and motivate distributor sales personnel to achieve set goals.
- Conduct market audits to ensure compliance with brand standards.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 2 to 4 years of sales experience in FMCG/ related B2C industry
- Strong understanding of territory management and retail dynamics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic sales reporting tools.
- Local language fluency and working knowledge of English.
