Job Description

Hiring for TSM position Modern Trade for Top Leading Pharmaceutical Brand in Personal Care.

Role: Candidates will have to visit all Supermarkets, D Marts, Metros and hypermarkets.(Modern Trade)

Location : Kolkata HO

Territory Sales Manager – Modern Trade( Consumer Products)

Job Purpose:
Drive sales, visibility, and distribution of products through modern trade channels (supermarkets, hypermarkets, pharmacy chains, etc.) within an assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and manage modern trade accounts in your territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with buyers, category managers, and decision-makers at key modern trade chains.
  • Plan and execute trade marketing activities like in-store branding, merchandising, planogram execution, and secondary display management.
  • Ensure availability and inventory levels at key outlets—manage order cycles, replenishment, and product launches.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, promotions, and share insights with marketing and sales leadership.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and territory-level performance reports.
  • Work closely with distributors, merchandisers, and internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance) for efficient execution.
  • Conduct periodic training or demos for trade staff/promoters if needed.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proven experience in modern trade sales (FMCG, personal care, or pharma).
  • Strong negotiation and account management skills.
  • Flair for trade marketing and visual merchandising.
  • Analytical mindset—comfortable with data analysis, sales trends, and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Execution-oriented with attention to detail.

  • Experience: Min. 1-8 years in Personal care, FMCG (Not food), Pharma
  • Education : Any Graduate
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Salary : up to 6 LPA
