Job Mandate Sales Manager (Loan Against Property)

Reporting to:

Role Summary:

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving LAP sales within an assigned territory by sourcing new clients, nurturing relationships with channel partners (DSAs, connectors, real estate agents, etc.), and ensuring smooth processing of LAP applications. The role demands a deep understanding of customer financial needs and the ability to offer customized secured loan solutions. The Sales Manager will act as the key executor on the ground, working under the guidance of the Area Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Sourcing and Development

  • Generate new LAP leads through direct sourcing, channel partners, and references.
  • Conduct market mapping to identify high-potential areas and develop acquisition strategies.
  • Collaborate with DSAs and connectors to drive disbursals and build sustainable lead pipelines.
  • Achieve monthly disbursal targets as defined by the Area Sales Manager.

2. Customer Engagement & Need Assessment

  • Understand customer profiles, financial documents, and funding requirements.
  • Explain loan products, eligibility criteria, and documentation in a consultative manner.
  • Ensure high-quality onboarding by supporting customers through the end-to-end loan process.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and timely disbursals.

3. Channel Partner Management

  • Identify, onboard, and manage productive channel partners (DSAs, brokers).
  • Train partners on product features, documentation, and process workflows.
  • Monitor partner performance and ensure adherence to company guidelines.

4. Process Coordination & Compliance

  • Liaise with internal credit, operations, legal, and technical teams for timely processing of files.
  • Ensure all customer documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant.
  • Coordinate for property verification, legal checks, and technical valuation.
  • Track application lifecycle and provide proactive updates to customers and partners.

5. Reporting and MIS

  • Maintain updated lead tracker, disbursal pipeline, and customer interaction logs.
  • Share daily/weekly/monthly reports with the Area Sales Manager on business performance.
  • Provide market feedback and competitor insights to help improve offerings.
