Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of CNG Online Compressors, CNG Daughter Booster Compressors, Biogas Compressors and allied equipments in Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Identify and establish new business opportunities in the Oil & Gas domain, particularly in the City Gas Distribution (CGD) sector.
  • Conduct pre-sales, post-sales, and complete business development activities for CNG compressors, pumps, and relevant applications (upstream, mid-stream & downstream).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with decision makers across PSU, Joint Venture, and Private CGD companies.
  • Understand and track CGDs CNG installation targets, minimum work programs, and business expansion plans.
  • Prepare business plans, assign targets, and implement strategies for both direct and indirect sales.
  • Lead the complete sales cycle from lead generation, client interaction, enquiry evaluation, preliminary model selection, techno-commercial proposal preparation, tender participation (online/offline bidding), negotiations, to contract closure.
  • Research and analyze competitive intelligence to identify threats, market trends, and develop differentiators.
  • Prepare and present market survey analysis (for domestic as well as exports) and findings to management.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to enhance product visibility and drive volumes; organize sales promotion programs and participate in trade fairs and exhibitions.
  • Review and reply to technical queries and ensure accurate techno-commercial proposal submissions.
  • Coordinate with project execution teams for order transfer, pre-order activities, and vendor interactions (datasheets, specifications, offer evaluations, and vendor document reviews).
  • Ensure sales and business generation targets are met, with timely collections.
  • Mentor, motivate, and guide team members to build a high-performance culture.
  • Develop the aftermarket business including spare parts sales, service contracts, and customer support initiatives to strengthen long-term relationships and contribute to both top & bottom-line growth.

Required Profile:

  • Strong knowledge of the City Gas Distribution (CGD) industry.
  • Familiarity with sales processes, tendering procedures, and government/PSU procurement practices.
  • Knowledge of CNG industry market size, customer segmentation (PSU, JV, Private), and business drivers.
  • Techno-commercial expertise with Oil & Gas equipment sales.
  • Understanding of aftermarket business dynamics with proven ability to push spare parts and services sales.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results within timelines.
