Job Description

The Sales Lead for Transformers (AGM/DGM) role in Mumbai requires a candidate with 10-15 years of experience in MV and HV power transformers. As a Sales Lead, your primary responsibility will be to lead customer engagement and sales efforts for large and medium power transformers, distribution transformers, and OVDTs in the Indian domestic market. You will be tasked with building and nurturing long-term relationships with key clients such as utilities, EPCs, and institutional buyers in regions like Delhi and Mumbai. Your role will also involve being accountable for achieving annual sales targets and order intake goals through strategic planning and proactive client engagement. It is essential to have a working knowledge of transformer specifications to align product offerings effectively with customer requirements. You will drive business with large accounts and institutional clients through focused campaigns, solution-oriented selling, and long-term value creation. Additionally, you will contribute to expanding the market presence by developing new customer bases, strengthening channel partners, and creating growth opportunities. This will involve engaging in need identification, bid preparation, and solution selling in collaboration with technical and proposal teams. Your role will also require active participation in sales planning, forecasting, and reporting through structured reviews and pipeline management. As a Sales Lead, you will play a crucial role in training and mentoring junior sales staff to ensure consistent messaging, product knowledge, and sales best practices. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring post-sales follow-up, customer feedback, and satisfaction tracking to reinforce trust and encourage repeat business. To qualify for this position, candidates must hold a BE/BTech degree in Electrical, with an MBA being desirable. The ideal candidate for this role would be a strategic thinker with strong sales acumen and a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the transformer industry.,
