Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and nurture new business opportunities (domestic & international) in chemicals, intermediates, dyes, agrochemical and API segments, aligned with company offerings.
  • Manage the full sales process: prospecting lead generation product presentations negotiation closing deals after-sales follow-up.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective key accounts: chemical manufacturers, formulators, distributors, agrochemical companies, pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • Research market trends, competitor activities, customer needs and regulatory landscapes in the chemicals & intermediates industry; provide feedback and recommendations for new product introductions, pricing, value propositions.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, track performance vs targets, and provide regular updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (logistics, operations, quality, export documentation) to ensure seamless order fulfilment, timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable chemical handling, export-import regulations, licensing, documentation and customer due diligence (particularly for chemicals/intermediates).
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events, trade fairs, customer visits, seminars to expand network and visibility.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in sales & marketing in the chemical / agrochemical / pharmaceutical intermediates / dyes industry.
  • Strong communication (English & Hindi; additional regional language a plus) and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets, generating leads, managing account relationships.
  • Good understanding of the chemical industry: products, applications, market segments, regulatory/quality considerations.
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment; self-motivated, proactive, able to travel (within India + some international exposure if required).
  • Ability to coordinate across internal functions (operations, logistics, quality) and externally with customers/distributors.
