Job Description

As a Safety Compliance and Risk Management professional, your role will involve ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal electrical safety regulations. You will be responsible for conducting regular safety audits and inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Additionally, you will perform risk assessments, provide recommendations to mitigate risks, and investigate incidents and near-misses related to electrical systems. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal electrical safety regulations - Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of electrical systems and equipment - Identify potential electrical hazards and implement corrective actions - Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate risks - Investigate incidents and near-misses involving electrical systems To excel in this role, you will need to develop and implement electrical safety policies and procedures, conduct safety training sessions for employees on electrical safety protocols, and develop educational materials and programs to enhance safety awareness. Staying updated on industry best practices and regulations will be crucial to providing relevant training to the employees. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree preferred - Minimum of 2 years experience in safety plans required - Willingness to travel up to 75% preferred Moreover, you will be responsible for developing and implementing emergency response plans for electrical incidents, coordinating with emergency services, leading emergency drills and simulations, maintaining accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports, preparing and submitting required safety reports to regulatory agencies, as well as tracking and reporting on key safety performance indicators (KPIs). In addition, you will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's electrical safety program, reviewing electrical design changes to ensure appropriate safety features are included, and providing electrical safety support to construction projects while collaborating with project managers to ensure effective implementation of electrical safe work practices.
