Safety Supervisor

**Job Description:** As a Safety Compliance Officer, your primary role will be to monitor and enforce safety compliance at the worksite. This includes conducting regular site inspections to identify any unsafe conditions or practices and ensuring all workers adhere to safety rules and regulations. You will also be responsible for enforcing the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe working environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct safety training sessions and orientations for new and existing employees, educating them on proper equipment handling and emergency procedures. - Identify potential hazards in the workplace, carry out risk assessments, and recommend preventive measures to minimize risks. - Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, or near-misses, prepare detailed accident reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to prevent future occurrences. - Develop and implement emergency response plans, ensuring that all safety equipment such as fire extinguishers and alarms are functional and easily accessible. - Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and health and safety officers to ensure compliance with local safety laws and industry standards. - Maintain accurate safety records, including inspection reports, incident documentation, training logs, and safety meeting records. - Promote a safety culture within the organization by encouraging employees to report hazards and actively participate in safety initiatives, leading by example in prioritizing safety. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in a similar safety compliance role. - Knowledge of safety regulations, hazard identification, and risk assessment techniques. - Strong communication and leadership skills to conduct training sessions and collaborate with different stakeholders effectively. - Ability to investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend necessary actions to improve safety measures. - Certification in occupational health and safety or related field is a plus.
