Real Estate Site Safety Supervisor

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra, India (across various real estate project sites)

Reports To: Project Manager / Site Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time on site.

Age- 35+

Key Responsibilities

· Implement and Monitor Safety Protocols: Enforce all company health and safety policies and procedures, along with national and local regulations (e.g., BOCW Act 1996).

· Conduct Regular Inspections and Audits: Perform daily site inspections and regular safety audits to identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.

· Risk Management: Conduct Hazard Identification Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC) for all construction activities and implement corrective measures immediately.

· Incident Management: Investigate all accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive actions to avoid recurrence.

· Training and Awareness: Organize and conduct safety induction training for new workers, daily toolbox talks, and other safety awareness programs (e.g., working at heights, electrical safety, fire safety).

· Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Management: Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and availability of all necessary PPE, conducting spot checks for compliance.

· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of safety procedures, inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and other required safety documentation as per statutory requirements.

· Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and client representatives on all safety-related issues. Act as the point of contact with all.

· Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular mock drills (e.g., fire safety, evacuation).

Qualifications and Experience

· Education: Any graduate, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil preferred) or a related field, along with a recognized Diploma/Post Diploma in Industrial Safety or EHS certification.

· Experience: Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a Safety Officer or Supervisor, preferably within the real estate or high-rise building construction industry in Mumbai.

· Knowledge: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, local building codes, and Indian safety regulations/laws (BOCW Act, Factories Act).

· Skills:

o Strong observational, analytical, and hazard identification skills.

o Excellent communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills, with the ability to communicate in local languages spoken by the workforce.

o Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.

o Proficiency in MS Office.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹38,606.28 per month
