Safety Officer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Continuous inspection of project sites, to ensure a hazard-free environment

· Follow the PTW system (permit to work) as per the client/site requirements.

· Continuous monitoring of all safety-related documents, reports, and issues to keep them updated.

· Verification of tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure good quality

· Conducts toolbox meetings & conduct safety inductions for new workers and visitors at the site

· Conducting investigations on near misses/accidents

· Promoting safe practices on site

· Manages all communications with Client/HO in regards of safety

· Preparation of JSA & HIRA for all construction activities

· preparation of a construction health and safety plan

· Carrying out drills and exercises on managing emergency situations

· Creating and enforcing safety guidelines and programs

· Attending project planning meetings and collaborating with the site execution team

· Responds to employees’ safety concerns.

· Coordinates all issues regarding hazardous materials or waste

Qualifications

Must have a state technical board-approved degree or diploma in industrial safety (ADIS) from a recognised institute.

Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety

At least 1 year experience in the Safety industry
