Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities

1) Ensure applicability of Legal Safety norms in the Plant with respect to Fire, Water, Environment, etc.

2) Ensure applicability and monitoring of Security Systems / Processes

3) Updating and monitoring of Processes related to Work, Health & Safety of Staff and Property

4) Maintaining Discipline and carrying out Checks & Audits inside the Plant.

5) Purchase of Material related to Safety

6) Selling of Scrap as per process and ensure no unwanted or appropriate disposing of hazardous material (if any)

7) Coordinate with various teams / department to maintain the organization safe environment.

8) Conduct Safety Audit of all Areas and ensure the precautionary measures to be taken.

9) Conduct Infrastructure Audit and ensure the deficiencies / damages / wear & tear are reported to the Management on regular basis.

10) Impart Training related to Health Safety & Environment to staff.

11) Lead Safety Committee Team

Preferred candidate profile

1) Candidate must have Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety or B.Sc. in Fire & Safety or B.Tech. in Fire Engineering.

2) Must have 4 to 7 years experience in an Engineering Company or Automobile company or manufacturing company in Maharashtra..

3) Good Communication skills - English, Hindi & Marathi - Both Verbal and Written

4) Good Computer skills

5) Must have the knowledge of Legal aspects of Fire, Health, Safety & Environment.

6) Candidates residing in areas like Chakan, Talegaon, Khed, Moshi, Bhosari, Chikali or PCMC area will be preferred.

7) Candidate will be required to work in First Shift - 6:30 to 15:30 and General Shift - 9:30 to 18:30

8) Candidate will be responsible for two Assembly units based in Chakan.

9) Candidate must have own 2 wheeler .

10) Must have leadership skills
