Job Summary:

We are seeking a competent and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines. This role demands thorough knowledge of safety regulations, excellent observation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify risks and implement corrective measures.

• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend preventive actions.

• Organize training sessions and safety drills to ensure employee awareness.

• Maintain documentation related to workplace injuries, safety violations, and improvement plans.

• Liaise with external agencies and regulatory bodies for compliance-related matters.

• Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related engineering discipline.

• Postgraduate Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution (preferred).

Certifications (Preferred):

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

• Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM
