It will be your duty to maintain inventory records using manual logs or inventory software and ensure all materials are issued to departments/projects with appropriate documentation (Material Requisition Slips/Issue Slips). Regular physical stock verification and reconciliation with records will also be part of your responsibilities. As the Store Manager, you will need to coordinate with procurement and project teams to ensure timely material availability and replenishment. Proper storage and labeling of all inventory items to prevent damage or loss will be crucial. Managing the return of unused or damaged goods and raising necessary documentation will also fall under your purview. In this role, you will monitor material consumption and highlight any abnormal usage to project management. As the Assistant General Manager/Deputy General Manager for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) at Baldota Steel and Power Limited (BSPL), you will have a crucial role in overseeing the health, safety, and environmental aspects during the execution and commissioning phases of the Greenfield Integrated Steel Plant project. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe working environment and promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project lifecycle. You will be tasked with leading and managing the HSE function for the Greenfield Integrated Steel Plant (>1.0 MTPA) from the initial concept to the final commissioning stage. This will involve developing, implementing, and monitoring HSE strategies, plans, and programs that are in line with the project's objectives and regulatory requirements. Additionally, you will establish Safety Committees, provide guidance on safety initiatives, and conduct training programs and awareness sessions for employees and contractors to prevent personal injuries. Your role will also include conducting job safety analyses, identifying hazards, and assessing risks for all major project activities. Regular safety inspections will be part of your responsibilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and to recommend corrective actions as needed. In the unfortunate event of incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences, you will investigate root causes and implement preventive measures while maintaining accurate records of safety performance metrics. Collaboration with procurement and stores teams to ensure the availability of high-quality Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear will be essential. Leading safety campaigns, contests, and engagement activities to promote a strong safety culture among all stakeholders on-site will also be part of your duties. Providing guidance to project and construction teams on adopting and maintaining best practices in occupational health and safety is crucial for the success of the project. Your candidate profile should include proven experience in handling HSE functions in a Greenfield Integrated Steel Plant project (>1.0 MTPA), particularly focusing on project safety management during the construction and commissioning phases.
