Safety Engineer

As a Safety Engineer at our company, your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe work environment by identifying potential hazards, implementing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will play a crucial role in promoting safety awareness, conducting risk assessments, providing safety training, and collaborating with management and employees to enhance safety practices across the organization. Your key responsibilities will include conducting safety audits and risk assessments to identify workplace hazards, implementing corrective actions, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, developing and delivering safety training programs, recommending safety equipment and procedures, investigating accidents, and continuously improving safety practices. You will also be required to collaborate with management and employees to ensure safety policies are understood and followed. To qualify for this role, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. You should have proven experience as a Safety Engineer or in a similar role, familiarity with safety management systems and software, and preferably hold a certification in Safety such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST). Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data are essential for this role. Additionally, you should be able to conduct inspections in various environments, lift and move safety equipment, materials, and supplies as needed, and be willing to travel to different work sites as required. This is a full-time position with day shift schedule and the work location is in person.
