Position Summary

We are looking for a Safety & Compliance Coordinator who is detail-oriented, proficient in English, and can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the safety team’s initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain safety compliance records, including driver qualification files and training records.
• Track and record incident reports, accidents, and safety violations, ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Assist with the preparation of safety meetings and training sessions.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and company policies.
• Use Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams) to create and manage compliance reports, safety data, and communication logs.
• Communicate compliance updates and safety guidelines to staff and drivers via email and Slack.
• Conduct regular audits of safety documents and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in updating safety policies and procedures as needed.
• Coordinate with the safety manager to manage internal and external safety audits.
• Support the submission of compliance reports to regulatory authorities.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, compliance procedures, and documentation requirements in the transportation industry.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams, along with knowledge of Slack.
• Experience in a safety/compliance role within the transportation industry is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills for effective interaction with drivers, staff, and management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
• MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY
