Job Description

Robotics Trainer


About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering curriculum-based classes in a hands-on lab environment. This includes overseeing experiments, guiding students through robot assembly and programming, and keeping all equipment operational. You will mentor students through each project, helping them apply classroom theory to practical robotics challenges.


Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development:

    Design and deliver robotics training programs and courses tailored to undergraduate students. Prepare lecture notes, lab exercises and assessment materials.
  • Hands-on Workshops:

    Lead interactive workshops and lab sessions where students assemble and program robots. Create engaging projects to reinforce learning.
  • Student Assessment:

    Evaluate and track student progress through quizzes, practical tests, and project reviews. Provide constructive feedback.
  • Equipment Maintenance:

    Manage the in-house robotics lab and ensure all hardware is operational. Perform routine troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Collaboration:

    Work with faculty and curriculum designers to update content. Coordinate with other trainers to share best practices.
  • Student Engagement:

    Promote STEM learning and inspire students’ interest in robotics and technology. Mentor and motivate students daily.


Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience:

    1–3 years of teaching or training experience in robotics or related STEM fields. Freshers with strong skills are welcome.
  • Technical Knowledge:

    Solid understanding of robotics fundamentals and experience with educational robotics platforms. Familiarity with modern robotics topics is a plus.
  • Teaching Skills:

    Ability to explain technical concepts clearly, engage learners, and adapt to different skill levels.
  • Teamwork:

    Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Languages:

    Python, C/C++, Embedded C
  • Development Environments:

    Arduino IDE, VS Code
  • Frameworks & Libraries:

    ROS, OpenCV, TensorFlow, LabVIEW
  • Simulation & Prototyping:

    Gazebo, Webots, 3D printers, laser cutters
  • Tools:

    Git, CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), Fritzing


Tools and Platforms

  • Hardware Kits:

    Arduino, Raspberry Pi, LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics, micro:bit
  • Components:

    Motors, sensors, motor controllers, batteries
  • IoT & Electronics:

    Soldering, multimeters, oscilloscopes, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth microcontrollers
