About the Business Group

The Mortgages department is a part of the Retail Lending business of the bank and offers Home Loans and Loan against Property to all categories of customers Pan India.About the RoleThis is a leadership role responsible for achieving business goals, optimizing profitability, overseeing compliance, and driving transformation within HL and LAP business. It involves strategic planning and execution to maximize revenue, enhance portfolio growth, and ensure risk compliance.Details of the RoleDepartmentRetail LendingGradeM/SM/AVPSub-DepartmentRetail Lending- Prime MortgagesReporting (Business)AVP/VP/SVPILocationPan IndiaReporting (Matrix)Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Goals and ProfitabilityDeliver disbursement targets in the assigned area through the Branch Banking channel.Monitor daily performance metrics and take proactive measures to meet area-level targets.Sales and Channel DevelopmentCoordinate with branch managers and staff for regular mortgage product training and support.Generate and convert leads from branches, ensuring alignment with zonal strategies.Compliance and Risk ManagementEnsure documentation, eligibility checks, and process adherence at the branch level.Support audit and compliance processes as per internal and regulatory norms.Customer ExperienceSupport branches in delivering seamless customer experience throughout the loan journey.Address and resolve escalations from customers or internal teams.Digital Adoption and InnovationDrive usage of digital tools like Siddhi, MLP, Omega, and SFDC by branch staff.Qualifications:Graduation/post-graduation from a recognized institute6+ sales experience (secured products preferred) with at least 2-3 years in HL and LAPRole ProficienciesStrong sales orientationProficiency in managing complex client relationships, diverse stakeholdersCapability to handle pressure and meet deadlinesSkill in managing large, geographically spread team; coaching and mentoring team membersCompetence in managing within a dynamic, priority-setting environmentStrong risk and compliance mindsetAdept at communication and interpersonal skillsAbout AxisIncorporated in 1994, Axis Bank is one of India s most trusted banks & the third largest in the private sector.
