Risk Management Specialist

As a Senior/Principal Analyst in Risk & Portfolio Management at our mission-driven team, you will be responsible for driving credit policy decisions and Lending Portfolio P&L KPIs. Your role involves ensuring acceptable risk performance and achieving revenue targets by identifying expansion opportunities across partner customer segments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop credit strategy for GTM strategy, customer eligibility, and limit/exposure decisions throughout the customer loan life cycle using telecom, wallet, bureau data, and mobile app. - Collaborate with external debt collection agencies to optimize direct debit rules and enhance collection effectiveness for delinquent customer segments. - Establish a framework to measure the periodic performance of existing strategies. - Create portfolio tracking metrics, design reports leveraging existing tech team, and monitor PDD MIS to maintain healthy portfolio performance. - Coordinate with partner teams for due/overdue PDD process and propose solutions to keep the portfolio healthy by interfacing with data science, product, and business operations teams. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Knowledge of scorecards, credit policies, and risk management in an unsecured context. - Minimum 2 years of experience as a data-driven strategy/policy analyst. - Strong quantitative background from a tier 1 technical institution (IIT/ISI/IIIT/BITS/ISI). - Good analytical thought process, problem-solving aptitude, and hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and Pyspark SQL (Big Data Hadoop/Spark Stack) preferred. - Passion for using data and algorithms to drive underwriting decisions, with previous exposure to ML algorithms. - Strong entrepreneurial drive and willingness to adapt to changing business needs in a startup environment.
