Retail Cashier

Cashier Location: Shell Petrol Pump Reporting To: Site Manager / Shift Manager Job Purpose To ensure smooth, accurate, and secure handling of customer transactions while delivering excellent service and supporting overall site operations. --- Key Responsibilities Handle cash, cards, UPI, and other digital payments accurately and responsibly. Issue receipts, refunds, and maintain daily cash balance at the end of each shift. Greet and assist customers politely, ensuring a positive experience. Promote Shell products, loyalty programs, and offers at the counter. Maintain records of daily transactions and submit required reports. Ensure safety, compliance, and security while handling cash and POS operations. Support stock management – billing, replenishment, and reporting shortages. Keep the cashier counter clean, organized, and aligned with Shell standards. Handle customer queries and escalate issues to the Shift Manager if needed. --- Skills & Competencies Strong numerical and accuracy skills. Good communication and interpersonal ability. Customer-first attitude with honesty and reliability. Basic computer and POS (Point of Sale) knowledge. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. --- Qualifications & Experience Minimum 10th / 12th pass. Prior cashiering or retail experience is an advantage. Training in safety, POS handling, and customer service will be provided. --- Work Conditions Shift-based duty, including weekends and holidays. Long hours of standing at the counter. Uniform and grooming standards as per Shell policy.
