Business Development Manager Retail Store Expansion

Key Responsibilities

• Retail Expansion Strategy

  : Develop and execute a retail expansion roadmap in alignment with brand goals and customer base.

• Market Research

  : Conduct research to identify high-demand locations based on customer demographics, footfall data, and competitor presence.

• Location Scouting

  : Identify, evaluate, and finalize store locations.

• Lease Negotiation

  : Negotiate terms with landlords and property agents, manage legal agreements, and ensure cost-effective deals.

• Cross-Functional Coordination

  : Collaborate with design, operations, and marketing teams to ensure timely and successful store launches.

• Budget

  : Work with finance to manage budgets per store.

• Relationship Management

  : Build long-term relationships with landlords, and property consultants.

• Compliance & Licensing

  : Ensure all licenses, permits, and operational compliances are in place before store launch.

Key Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in business development, retail expansion preferably in D2C, lifestyle or beauty brands.
• Strong understanding of the retail landscape across metros and Tier 1 cities in India.
• Proven experience in identifying store locations and handling end-to-end expansion lifecycle.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
