Job Title Restaurant Support Specialist (or Flexible Team Member, Utility Worker, General Assistant) Job Summary/Objective We are looking for a highly versatile and motivated Restaurant Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for a reliable individual with a "can-do" attitude who is ready to tackle any task required for the smooth operation of our restaurant. The ideal candidate must be willing to perform diverse duties across both the kitchen and dining areas, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to supporting the entire team wherever the need is greatest. Core Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role are broad and adaptable. Duties may shift daily based on operational needs and include, but are not limited to: Operational Flexibility: Willingness to jump into any role as directed by management, whether in the back-of-house (kitchen) or front-of-house (dining room). Kitchen Support: Assisting the culinary team with basic food prep (washing/chopping ingredients), organizing dry goods and perishables, and maintaining cleanliness of all food preparation stations. Cleaning & Sanitation: Performing rigorous cleaning tasks throughout the entire facility, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, and managing waste disposal in compliance with health codes. Guest Area Maintenance: Ensuring the dining room, host station, and common areas remain tidy, well-stocked, and presentable at all times. This includes clearing and resetting tables efficiently. Inventory & Logistics: Assisting with unloading deliveries, stocking inventory in appropriate locations, and organizing storage areas (stockrooms, refrigerators, freezers). Ad-Hoc Tasks: Performing miscellaneous tasks and running errands as requested by the Restaurant Manager or Supervisor to ensure seamless daily operations. Qualifications & Skills Attitude is Key: A highly flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work is essential. Must embrace the philosophy that no task is "beneath" this role. Experience: Prior experience in a food service environment is a plus, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are more important. On-the-job training will be provided. Reliability: Punctuality and dependability are non-negotiable for this fast-paced environment. Physical Stamina: The ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including standing for extended periods, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various temperature environments (hot kitchen, walk-in freezer). Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and positively within a tight-knit team structure. Work Environment This position requires availability for flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The environment is fast-paced, high-energy, and requires constant movement and adaptation to immediate needs.
