Restaurant Cashier

Role Summary The Restaurant Cashier will be responsible for handling customer billing, operating the POS system, managing cash/card transactions accurately, and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for dine-in, takeaway, and delivery orders. The role requires attention to detail, customer service orientation, and familiarity with restaurant billing systems. Key Responsibilities 1. Billing & POS Operations Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system efficiently for order punching, billing, and payments. Handle cash, UPI, card, coupon, and wallet transactions with accuracy. Print and issue customer bills, KOTs, and receipts as required. Reconcile daily cash and POS sales at end of shift. 2. Customer Interaction Greet customers politely and assist with order takeaway or billing queries. Guide customers on offers, loyalty points, or add-ons where applicable. Handle customer complaints related to billing with professionalism. 3. Reporting & Documentation Maintain daily cash register reports and submit them to the outlet manager. Ensure correct record-keeping of discounts, staff meals, and refunds. Assist in maintaining petty cash, tallying cash drawers, and submitting shift-wise reports. 4. Coordination & Hygiene Coordinate with kitchen and service teams to ensure order accuracy before billing. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter area. Follow all company policies on hygiene, safety, and cash handling. Reporting To: Restaurant Manager / Outlet In-charge
