Job Summary:

ZOCA Café, Bhiwani is looking for an experienced and service-oriented Restaurant Captain to lead the front-of-house team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Captain, you will be responsible for supervising service staff, managing the flow of operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining the high service standards that ZOCA Café is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and seat guests in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Supervise daily service operations on the restaurant floor.
  • Allocate tables and manage reservations and walk-ins efficiently.
  • Take orders accurately and ensure timely communication with the kitchen.
  • Oversee the service team (waiters/stewards) and ensure adherence to service protocols.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the multi-cuisine menu, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Upsell specials, combos, and chef’s recommendations to enhance guest experience and revenue.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues with professionalism and escalate major concerns to management.
  • Ensure tables are turned around efficiently during peak hours.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings to inform staff of daily specials and any service notes.
  • Ensure proper billing, accuracy in POS entries, and coordinate with the cashier.
  • Monitor cleanliness, grooming, and discipline among the service team.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new staff as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Captain or Senior Steward in a reputed restaurant.
  • Experience in a multi-cuisine or casual dining setup preferred.
  • Strong communication skills in Hindi and basic English.
  • Good leadership, problem-solving, and team management abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of restaurant service operations and guest handling.
  • Polished appearance, excellent etiquette, and customer-first attitude.
  • Familiarity with POS and basic billing software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Certification in Hotel Management / F&B Service (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Bhiwani’s local customer preferences and dining trends is a plus

Work Schedule:

  • Rotational shifts (Lunch and Dinner)
  • Must be available on weekends, holidays, and festival seasons
