Job Title:

Job Purpose

The Resident Manager will provide complete administrative and operational leadership for a manpower-intensive site at Mundra.
The role requires strong people management, discipline enforcement, HR/IR handling, safety governance, reporting accuracy, client coordination, equipment oversight, and seamless execution of all day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Complete Site Administration & Governance

  • Oversee the entire site’s administrative functioning, including HR, attendance systems, compliance documentation, audits, permits, and statutory requirements.
  • Ensure every site process—reporting, documentation, training, inspections, manpower deployment—is executed with discipline and consistency.
  • Maintain strict control over uniforms, PPE issuance, muster rolls, shift handovers, and documentation standards.

2. Manpower Leadership, HR/IR, and Discipline Management

  • Lead a large workforce including supervisors, operators, drivers, helpers, and administrators.
  • Drive workforce discipline: attendance, punctuality, shift adherence, behavioural standards.
  • Handle grievances, interpersonal conflicts, and IR-sensitive matters with maturity and fairness.
  • Coordinate with site HR for

    recruitment, onboarding, induction, training, disciplinary actions, counselling

    , and periodic reviews.
  • Ensure manpower deployment meets operational requirements and client expectations.

3. Client Coordination & Performance Delivery

  • Act as the

    single point of contact

    for the client at Mundra.
  • Attend daily/weekly review meetings, share updates, and address issues proactively.
  • Understand client KPIs thoroughly and ensure the site meets or surpasses service-level expectations.
  • Maintain strong communication, build trust, manage escalations, and ensure transparent service delivery.

4. Operations Control & Daily Execution

  • Monitor daily operations across shifts: yard activities, stacking/unstaking, movement planning, manpower allocation, and shift discipline.
  • Ensure all SOPs, work instructions, and safety checklists are followed meticulously.
  • Maintain tight supervision of supervisors and shift-in-charges; ensure zero deviation from client protocols.

5. Equipment & Asset Oversight

  • Track availability, deployment, and utilisation of equipment deployed at the site (reach stackers, forklifts, ITVs, MHE, etc.).
  • Oversee fuel consumption, logbooks, checklists, inspections, and preventive maintenance coordination.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy and avoid misuse, idle time, or inefficiencies.

6. Safety, Compliance & Audit Readiness

  • Reinforce a safety-first culture; conduct toolbox talks, daily safety briefings, and compliance checks.
  • Ensure 100% adherence to PPE norms, emergency procedures, and client HSE guidelines.
  • Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation for internal audits, client audits, and statutory inspections.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

7. Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Monitor performance of all service providers (manpower vendors, equipment vendors, housekeeping, utilities).
  • Verify vendor bills, validate deployment, and maintain cost discipline.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvement projects.

8. Reporting, MIS & Communication

  • Ensure timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
  • Track KPIs including manpower utilisation, manpower discipline, equipment uptime, productivity, safety metrics, and cost performance.
  • Coordinate with HO MIS and HO Operations teams to maintain transparency and performance visibility.

Maintain high quality documentation—accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
