Description
As a Resident Engineer at OPTEL, your role involves hands-on technical work related to the installation and troubleshooting of electronics, automated packaging, and manufacturing machinery. You will be responsible for the maintenance and support of electronic components and mechanical systems, production line mechanics, line electricians, packaging machinery engineers, and general field technician responsibilities for product installation, support, and repairs. Key Responsibilities: - Maintenance and support of electronic components or mechanical systems - Carrying out production line mechanic duties - Fulfilling line electrician responsibilities - Performing packaging machinery engineer tasks - Undertaking general field technician duties for product installation, support, and repairs - Engaging in electronic engineering tasks, which includes working with circuitry and troubleshooting electrical components - Conducting drilling/mounting in various materials, wiring, terminating, and testing circuits and components - Installing electronic-mechanical machinery or optics equipment - Interpreting schematic diagrams, understanding electrical symbols and terminology, calculation of voltage and circuit flow - Ensuring responsible and confident installation of sensitive electronic hardware, software, and OEM equipment - Having familiarity with IT networking, networking hardware, IP processes/connectivity, networking communications, IP addressing, identifying domains, routers, cables, switches, etc. - Being acquainted with software programming - Training operators on Optel lines Qualifications Required: - Possession of a Diploma or certificate(s) from a recognized school, university, or technical program related to applied science, electronics, mechanical, electro-mechanical engineering, or similar fields - Bachelor's, Diploma/Certificate in Electronic Engineering, Electronics, or related field is a plus - This is a technician level position - Language Requirements: Clear proficiency in speaking and writing English/Hindi - Excellent communication skills and professional presentation - Travel Requirements: Frequent and extended travel is expected If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the world and thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment, OPTEL is the right place for you to grow and contribute to sustainable living.
